The Heart's Gamble: A Zebra Regency Romance by Cynthia Richey
Ah, yes, the classic set-up: a daughter is gambled away by her father. It's really quite horrifying if you think about it. Obviously, the book does not lean heavily into the distastefulness of the initial situations: rather, it sets up a cloying love story based on it. There's not a lot here that is new ground, and honestly, the book was drawn out rather long.
