IAA far exceeded my expectations. Its reception was lukewarm--often characterized by extreme and vocal loathing; it's a modern Ubisoft title; Stanislas Mettra said some very stupid things that got a lot of equally stupid reactions; &c.
It feels like the budget title it is, so gameplay mechanics are stiff and it often feels like a poor man's Uncharted set in a poor man's McCarthy-obsessed-with-fetchquests copycat's creation when you're climbing outcrops or buildings or trains--whatever. I show more liked this. I did. It felt old school, and since the game was going for an old school, very difficult fight for survival, it seemed right.
The game's difficulty, I felt, was perfect. I never died, but I was always coming close. There's a genuine sense of desperation start to finish, not only from you but from every NPC, enemy or friend--except maybe those aggressive armored ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s introduced at the 2/3rds point. Weird, annoying inclusion. You might find yourself sympathizing with many baddies.
"Stick-ups" surprisingly lack the feeling of repetition from poor AI; despite their frequency, I always found myself with that feeling of desperation again, trying as quickly as possible to spot the guns before being forced to act and save some asses.
The storyline is lacking and feels more like a prelude than anything (reminiscent of Hard Reset), but the atmosphere makes up for its inadequacies, ash and dust falling everywhere, choking the environment and its people--you--stressing that Road inspiration. (If I were to guess--and I really want to--I'd say The Event was an exaggerated eruption of one or more supervolcanoes.)
I loved the feel of this game, and I'll definitely replay it, hoping for further, bigger-budget sequels all the way through. I'd love to see how the world fairs outside of this game's geographic boundaries. show less

Artwork is really beautiful and the paper is quite a thick cardstock, albeit don't feel it is THAT deluxe. There is no dust jacket and a lot of the pictures inside are very crammed and therefore small. It could do with a bit more pages to make pictures at minimum half page instead of what they went for, but it is still good artbook.
One thing I appreciate is their no BS approach to explaining the process - you will hear a lot of historical research and similar when it comes to the Norse side show more of the game. British Isles part of the game only uses terms relating to mood, atmosphere, painting style and such. Basically their side of the story is made up and meant as a backdrop...aim is to be believable enough, not historical. I heavily dislike the game for this dichotomy of approaches, but I like this artbook is rather clear they just went full fantasy.
The one star removed is only for the fact it doesn't REALLY feel deluxe. It is a good artbook, but some foil on cover doesn't really make it "deluxe". Print is nice though...really wish the pictures inside weren't as crowded as they made them in some parts. show less

This is okay I guess for a platformer. If you like platformers. I do not.
Also I just can't get over the fact that all these eunuchs have facial hair. And the voice acting is... questionable.

Rayman legends on mahtava tasoloikkapeli, jota on ehdottomasti hauskinta pelata moninpelinä. Musatasot ovat todella koukuttavia, niihin tulee palattua aina uudelleen! Pelissä on monia eri pelihahmoja ja pelitasot vaihtelevat helpoista vaikeisiin. Pelihyllyn ehdoton klassikko.
