I read this years ago. The prisoners in the institution I worked in found it helpful. Some of them did. I thought Carothers oversimplified things but the idea that we should always be thankful is totally right.
This little book with the message to give thanks in and for everything in your life literally changed my life for the better. It is not an easy message, but it is one when taken to heart, is most powerful. I read the book over 25 years ago and still remember the lessons I learned from it.

I've read this book many times, but not recently. I had the movie on my shelf for a long time without watching it, but finally did and decided I needed to read the book again. The book is better, of course. I know in my life whenever I've put the principles of this book into practice, I have much more joy. I'm sorry for the times I have forgotten to do so and have felt miserable.
