Interesting premise but very ameteurish. Supposed excerpts from a grandmother's secret diary, full of similies and what the author seems to suppose would say. "Nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs." Good egg. Flabbergast. "That put pepper in my gumbo." Ad finitum. Even the story line is questionable - Grandma says father is not who granddaughter thought he was. So GD goes thru all sorts of trouble to find out who he was. Why not ask Grandma? God only knows.
