I don't know why, but I kind of expected this story to be the exact story from the movie, written down and simplified for children. It wasn't that at all. I mean it had the same storyline, the same events still happened, but there were slight differences and I know it shouldn't bother me, but it did.

Above all that, the fact that it was written for children annoyed me a bit because of there were so many exclamation marks used, like dude - chill out. And the fact that they completely erased show more Peggy's death and funeral, I understand they did it because this book came out around the same time as the movie (or sooner even, from the POV of the Americans), but still I missed that part so much and it bothered me.

There was one thing I did love about this book, my favourite scene of all time - the paprikash scene with Wanda and Vision - was in there. At first glance I thought it wasn't int here and I was rather sad, but when I started reading the book it was there and as Wanda said, my spirits were lifted!

BUT THEN... There is a poster in the back, yeah? It's really cool and everything, were it not for the fact that WANDA. MAXIMOFF. IS NOT ON THAT POSTER AND THEY LITERALLY PUT A PICTURE OF A BLONDE HAYLEY ATWELL INSTEAD?! It's supposed to be Agent 13, Sharon Carter, I know, but the girl on that poster does not look like Emily Vancamp at all. Pfffffft. Sharon doesn't even fight in that final airport battle scene, why the fuck is she on half of the promo stuff while she literally does nothing but encourage Steve to fuck shit up even more?!

So yeah, as much as I would have loved this book, I didn't. Such a shame.

This isn't freedom. This is fear. - Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

This is what I think of when I heard about the accords in order to control those with superpowers in an attempt to protect Earth. But, Cap is right. These accords are created out of fear.

In case you're wondering, this is NOT the entire Civil War film. If you have seen the film, the book ends just after Bucky, Cap, Falcon, and Black Panther are captured after Bucky was thought to set up a bomb in Vienna at the signing of show more the accords.

Man, was I heartbroken to see that's where the book ended. Anywho, the junior novelization wasn't terrible, but it could have been more. Hell, it needed to have been more.

The best of the Mighty Nein, but still not very good. I’ve read three others and all have been big disappointments after the earlier critical role series.

The story here is a bit more conventional. A half-orc orphan grows up in a Oliver Twist style workhouse until he goes away to sea. A major flaw is that everyone is always picking on the ugly half-orc, but he is stunningly handsome, mild-mannered, and smart. Either make the guy ugly to match the comments, or re-write the dialogue a bit to show more explain why the best looking guy in the book is constantly belittled for being hideous. show less
This book was a 4 up until the ending. In my opinion I felt that the ending could have ended way better. Within the whole book it failed to mention the Infinity Stone. When the Infinity Stone is one of the key things. I know that it's a kids book and that it is supposed to be relatively short, but I still think that they could have made the book a little longer or at the very least made the ending better. As a person who LOVES the movie this was kind of a miss. In some areas it was really show more good, but in others it wasn't. I like the little added details though, like when Star-Lord talked to the guy and asked for his leg. Not to mention that on the cover it says, "Based on the movie" when it doesn't even finish the movie. show less
