ok, I don't *actually* arrange flowers very often but the pictures are pretty! LOL
I do find this book very helpful in identifying dried flowers. Sometimes I want to purchase a small bunch of flowers, especially in the winter months when fresh flowers are not available and I use this to find the names of the dried flowers. You can also use it as a reference to know what plants to buy to grow your own flowers that dry well, then just cut them and save them for winter. The pictures are very show more clear and up close so you can easily see the flowers. I would say it's comparable to the pictures in the DK handbooks which are always very good. show less

Beautiful pictures and great as visual inspiration. If you're brand new to container gardening though you're better off with Container Gardening for Dummies by Bill Marken. But this book is a terrific companion for the Dummies book.

Also has sentction on planting for site specific conditions (sunny, semi-shade, shade, exposed conditions).

Final sections are on making and decorating containers and plant care.
