John R. Abercrombie

I learned from Abercrombie how to write a KWIC index on my TRS-80 Model I Microcomputer to produce a Bible Bowl study guide. With only slight modifications, the program was used later with IBM-compatible PCs on various OS platforms from DOS to Windows. Abercrombie's modular structure had a great influence on the programming style I adopted after studying the examples in this book.
