OMG, I can't give this enough stars. I'm always saying representation matters, which it does, but even more, Own Voices is important. And this is an Own Voices story, and one that is so important.

I really enjoyed watching Storm's journey. We went from a point where he really hated his body to a point where he was much happier with himself and the way that he looked. It wasn't an easy journey for him, and it isn't one that should be brushed over. GR Lyons really put some things in this one show more that I had never thought of, having never been in Storm's situation, but they made perfect sense.

I was really knocked out and broken by some of what happened in this book. Storm was so strong through, he had to be. Honestly, I'm not so sure I could've been as strong and brave as he was at times.

I thought that Ethan was definitely the best person for Storm. Ethan was so incredibly patient with Storm, and made sure to follow Storm's lead instead of just doing what he thought he should do and when he though it should happen. That just showed me how good a person that Ethan was.

I really loved this book.

This anthology was amazing. If I didn’t know that the authors had written outside their normal genres from the blurb, I never would’ve guessed. Each story is unique with captivating characters and rich worlds. The plots were engaging and well paced. I loved that each story had a little intro, which gave you an idea of what to expect in the following pages, making it easy to pick and choose what to read. There’s a little something for everyone in this, so don’t let the chance to grab show more this anthology pass you by! show less
I'm going middle of the road for this with 3 stars as I would 5 star some but tbh some I would 2 star.

I do not want to name names so will leave this as a general review. I have read every story in this anthology and I loved the concept, but some stories seemed edited, polished and finished and some didn't. They felt rushed, unedited and incomplete.

The concept and idea of Taking a Chance on love, drew me in and given the opportunity to arc read and overall I did enjoy the book.

These 17 show more authors all came together to raise funds for AIDS healthcare, so grab this as you might find a gem or a new author to read. show less
I enjoyed reading about a new type of supernatural creature. Set across several decades this was a unique love story.
