V. R. Lang

1975. Alison Lurie’s memoir of Violet Ranney “Bunny” Lang is a hoot. Lang was clearly a one-of-a-kind, larger than life, character. These days we might say bipolar or some diagnosis I suspect. Lang would be a lot more famous I think if she hadn’t died of cancer at 32. I’m not loving her poetry as yet. I’ll try to remember to edit this again if I make it through the plays. As a founding member of the Poet’s Theatre, her plays deserve a gander. Lurie liked them. The inside look show more at “Ted” Gorey is worth the price of admission. show less
