This book tells the story of a cow named Mary who loses her hat. She then goes on a journey asking every animal she can find if they have seen her hat. Each animal she asks claims to not have seen her hat and then directs her to the next animal. Eventually she runs into a bear who claims to not have seen Mary’s hat. However when they look into the sky at the bears kite it is actually Mary’s hat! I found this to be a decent children book. I found it more repetitive then many other books I show more have read however, this format always seems to be a hit with younger students. I also found that the end of the story contained comedy perfect for kindergarten aged children to understand. Overall this would be a good book for a young student to read. show less

I love this book! Its whimsical illustrations and storytelling make me want to read it again and again. I suspect this might appeal more to adults than children, but if a child likes it half as much as I do, that would still be a lot!
