Emma visited her cousins in New York and while there planed on finding out what made her sister, Joslyn, attempt to murder Victoria Green, a wealthy businesswoman. Even though Emma has several bachelor's degrees, she's not very smart about how she's going to do this. She thinks she can just walk into Victoria's office and ask to speak to her. That didn't work. She met Jace outside Victoria's office and upon learning he's a security consultant tries to hire him to help with her show more investigation.

Jace tried to get Emma to stop looking into this but wasn't successful. Things get tricky for him when her cousins hire him to cover up some information Emma could find while investigating. Then they find out that Joslyn had been blackmailing someone and that someone is not taking it well. Go figure.

I liked Emma because she tried to be sexy and flirty around Jake but didn't think she could pull it off. Apparently she did. She really thought she had everything under control but she had no idea she was walking into situations she couldn't handle. Lucky for her Jace could handle them. Jace was a very competent security consultant but I didn't like how he took money from Emma and her cousins for the same job. He also hid a lot of details from Emma. I understand why he felt he had to but it was hard to like him.

This was an enjoyable romance but the ending was a bit rushed.

I am in love with Mallory Crowe's paranormal romance series. Vampires have always fascinated me, but Mallory is able to take a common concept in this day and make it her own. I am very excited to see where this series goes.

Looking at the characters in Finding Fire, Anna is such a spunky character and it was refreshing to see such a strong female protagonist in a story. And Nicolas! He just drips sexiness in every part of the book he is in. The scenes those two are in are full of fire and show more passion you can't help rooting for them.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I recommend this book and this author.

I am absolutely in love with this book! Emma and Jace are such interesting and real characters that you can't help rooting for them. I just love the chemistry between the two! Again, I am very happy with the authors ability to have an actual story alongside the romance. The love story doesn't take over like so many other romance stories do. It was also nice to see a bit of mystery and suspense in this story that you don't often see in billionaire romance stories.

Also, this is a complete show more story! No cliff hangers and no multiples parts to have to purchase! Overall, I couldn't put this book down and I was extremely happy with the end! I recommend this author and this book.

I received this free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Description: Billionaire heiress Emma Devereaux has been living a safe-yet-mundane existence in Georgia for too long, but when she learns her sister, Joslyn, has been arrested, she heads to New York City to find out what really happened. Unfortunately, as an unemployed debutante, she’s not exactly qualified to be leading an investigation. But help is at hand in the form of the handsome, former military man Jace Lance who happens to be the one who got her sister arrested in the first place. show more

Jace thinks Emma is crazy for even considering working with him since he’s the one who stopped Joslyn from killing his former client. However, he can’t deny that the sexy southerner is in over her head when her tycoon cousins try to hire him to make sure Emma doesn’t find out the truth about what really caused her sister’s murderous actions.

As they begin to uncover the truth together –and get to know each other intimately – it becomes clear that the more answers they get, the more danger Emma is in. Jace is determined to protect her, but how can he keep her safe when her whole family is in on the conspiracy?
