This book talks about autism from a "classmate" point of view, talking to the reader about how and why autistic classmates may be different then the reader, and how other people can help autistic kids cope and learn better. I like that it has a section on treating them "fairly" and not bullying or teasing just because they are different, and explains how doctors and parents usually diagnose and treat autism.
I'm not sure what ages this book is meant for (it was shelved right across from show more picture-books in the kid's section of my library), but some of the medical explanations about nerves and brain growth may be a bit hard for younger kids to understand. show less

This text helps young people learn and understand the challenges created by their autistic classmates. It teaches about the causes, symptoms and treatments available for autism.
This is a small information booklet about life in the tundra. There are photographs of polar bears, animal life, vegetation, and the environment in the Tundra. This is great for students studying biomes. It's an easy read that will give quick facts and information.
