This is an engaging and informative book that takes readers on a thrilling journey through the wonders of Earth
A useful book with different activities to make kids learn about what it was like to be a pirate, where they sailed and much more.
This is a journey of discovery through the world of plants and animals. It tells about the world we live in, traveling further into space and beyond. Each page has a thumb guide of what it contains. Activities, questions, and ideas are included with each subject area. The book has a comprehensive table of contents and is well indexed.
Riley's book gives the reader an overview of all the different animals classes. The class of animal is introduced and discussed on how all members of the class are alike. At the end of each chapter a question is asked that could relate a new class to the previous class but the new chapter then shows the differences between that class and the previous classes. This book is good for building vocabulary in the lower grade levels.
I could use this book in my class to reintroduce the different show more classes of animals and how they are different from each other. The students have been introduced to these things in lower grades, but it is always good to do a short reminder for them. show less
