Mike Venezia offers a compassionate ride through the life of Vincent Van Gogh.

While a bit silly at times, his approach does not detract from beauty
as he progresses through the power of the chosen paintings.

Young readers may be deeply inspired to get help when they feel different or lonely.
From just opening the book, it shows so many interesting facts on Mozart's life and had a fun colorful map of where he traveled. It was colorful yet simple. It described the lift of Mozart in a textbook fashion than a story which is great to introduce to kids who's textbooks are beginning to be larger. It was easy to read and was very factual. I liked that fact that it showed his struggles and also his accomplishments in plain text. The fun drawings in the book made it fun. If those pictures show more weren't in there, it would have been a bit of a bore. show less
This is a lovely gem of a book given to me by a wonderful LT friend. The author has a unique style of writing text about Van Gogh's works while drawing accompanying laugh-out-loud cartoons.

This is a wonderful book for someone who knows little about Van Gogh and his exquisite works. I will be sure to look folr more books by this author. While the intended market is for young people, it is a lovely presentation and well-worth to time spent by all ages.
An excellent kid's book about Michelangelo's influences, life and travel throughout Italy with actual pictures of his work and cartoons.
