“Dare to Repair” is an awesome book if you’re into learning how to fix things. I grew up with an engineer father, so he was always teaching me new things and helping me build different creations. This book is a how-to guide or simply like a reminder for around the house fixes. I like that each informational piece gives you a modeled picture. This is a great representation in order to tell if you are completing the project correctly or if something doesn’t look right. I also like this show more book because I think its useful to not only people who are interested in this type of stuff but also if you want to save a few dollars from repair men. Repair men cost a lot of money, and often times it’s a simple fix, so this book is very helpful, and very cheap too! I would recommend to have it around the house. show less
This is the other book I got from the library. A few different helpful details, but didn't like either the tone or the drawings as much as Auto Repair for Dummies
While there are more complete home repair guides out there, this one is well-writen, presented well, and well-illustrated. A good starter guide for home repair and fixing things up from changing an air conditioner filter to installing a garbage disposal.
Finally a guide that makes sense, no matter what gender, for those who need to truly understand a non-engineering guide to repairing a car
