Kate Adams is a consummate professional, she assists in planning the perfect events and keeps her personal and professional life separated. Helping plan an event for the Maddox siblings should be no problem, except for those butterflies she gets around Michael that leave her tongue tied and incapable of thought. He would be the perfect catch for Kate, if he was up for more than a one-night-stand...and he wasn't her client. When a stalker threatens Kate's show more safety, Michael finds himself willing to do anything to protect her, anything except share his secrets and open his heart.
"You thought I would forget you?" His words sent shivers dancing up her spine, and she could have sworn she had a heart palpitation.
Kate struggles with the dangers of losing her heart, Michael faces the danger of sharing his secrets, together they tackle the dangers of a serious stalker, and I lost to the danger when I grew attached to the characters and their story. Silenced Memories is Brittney Sahin's debut novel and the first novel in a standalone series titled Hidden Truths. This captivating book mixes romance with suspense, taking the mixture of business and pleasure another step further. The strongest part of Silenced Memories is the plot, it was really well fleshed out, easy to picture, and played out in my head like a movie would. I found my anxiety growing as the action picked up and I love a book that can make me experience the peril alongside the characters.
...no one had ever unlocked her soul this way before. Had she ever let a man really know her, before now?
I loved the multifaceted story line, I felt like I got to really know the characters outside of their romance and the threat of the stalker. I loved Kate, she's a strong female character that knows herself, but isn't immune to the power of the Man of Steel. She's smart, beautiful, and at times a little irrational, but all the same fun to read about. Her family's past plays a huge role in the story and I really enjoyed how she reacted and dealt with the secrets and twists. Michael, on the oher hand, is totally swoonworthy. I loved his character background and how much went into showing his successes as a business man and hidden flaws as he struggles with his past in the military. At times I couldn't see these two working and at other times I thought they were soulmates, which made for a really interesting read. There is a ton of character development in Silenced Memories, especially when the characters recognize their feelings and start looking at themselves in new ways. I found myself wrapped up in them, just as surprised by the twists as they were. It's definitely not a predictable book and it just got better with every page turn.
She had a stalker. And she was falling for a man with a field of ice around his heart.
If you are looking for a hot, sexy, and suspensful read, let me assure you that this is it. There's secrets, apprehension, guns, lust, and some very headstrong characters at the center of this novel. Silenced Memories is just the tip of the iceberg in the Hidden Truths series, you'll definitely find yourself eager to know more about all the secondary characters you meet in Silenced Memories. Give me more of the hot marines, for sure. show less

Alexa, an M16 agent working a highly classified case involving technological warfare, reminisces often of the man who made her feel alive a year ago, but she knows nothing about him and her distraction can only cause problems for her case. Jake, missing 12 years of his life, has no idea why he would have been involved in an FBI operation to stop a terrorist threat, his last memory involves football. Thrust together on a case that involves both Britain and the US, Alexa keeps their time show more together a secret, but Jake's memories are returning with each step closer to stopping the terrorist.
"'I want you to remember, but-'
'But you're afraid?' He cocked his head, studying her. How could this woman fight terrorist but be fearful of her own feelings?"
A romantic thriller with an espionage focused story line probably isn't what I'm known for loving, but Brittney Sahin just changed all of that with the release of Deadly Consequences. It's suspenseful, it's romantic, and it's definitely her best writing yet. Plus, you can tell the amount of research that went into this novel, with main characters Jake and Alexa both working high risk careers with the FBI and the British M16, respectively. Both their lives revolve around their careers, especially with a terrorist threat looming and Jake losing his memory after an FBI operation gone wrong. I loved both characters and I was over the moon about their perfect chemistry. Their story is the second chance kind I swoon over, but the history surrounding their separation is unique for sure. Alexa, like many of Brittney Sahin's female heroines, is a strong, independent woman, but this time she has a career to match. She's full of spunk, but she's lacking in romance. Jake is as handsome as ever. Have I mentioned how excited I am to finally have his story? He's definitely more than meets the eye and I loved getting to know him so deeply, especially with his missing memory. Together they have shocking chemistry, but both try to focus on the case. I loved how Brittney set these two up, the perfect amount of suspense and surprise to keep us satisfied with the romance and the counter terrorism plot line equally. Everything tied together perfectly and I was so swept up in this story that I read it in one very short sitting.
"'Look at me, Alexa.'
'I-I can;t.'
'Why not?' he rasped.
'Because I'm afraid of wanting you, Jake.'"
The perfect blend of action and swooning, Deadly Consequences by Brittney Sahin will more than please fans of Romantic Suspense. With extensive detailing and descriptive dialogue, readers will be swept up in this story of two lost souls finding one another amidst a deadly attack that could hurt the USA and Britain equally. It was intense, it was gripping...it was absolutely perfect. But can I have more of Jake, please? I LOVE HIM.
"He knew one thing with certainty-he needed this woman more than he needed their memories together. The here and now would be more than enough." show less

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.
Boy meets girl, falls in love, and happily ever after follows. At least, that's what we'd like to believe. Someone Like You is the reality, it's heartbreak, family drama, and a heaping pile of lust that's meant to only last a night. Brittney Sahin perfectly describes the feeling that occurs when someone feels so right in your life, but you feel like you have to think with your mind over your heart.
"But it doesn't matter. We're from two different show more worlds, and I'll never see her again."
I loved the characters, from beginning to end. They were already complex in the beginning and as the story took shape and developed, so too did Noah and Grace. Grace is from the upper crust, a business woman her family treats like a pawn in the game, while Noah is a former Navy SEAL with a kind heart and a daughter he'd do anything for. Grace and Noah recognize the lust between them, but the readers are treated to the truth, that these two have been waiting for someone like each other for longer than they even realized. Mixed in with their attraction is the expectations from their family and those that they have for themselves. They're from different worlds, their lives are on different paths, and yet the chemistry between them burns brighter with each passing day.
"The dark scruff around his lips- he has that sexy kind of dangerous look...but I can tell this man is only dangerous because he's forbidden."
Brittney Sahin has a knack for writing novels that suck you in; with descriptive prose she paints a story that makes you feel as though you are within the pages of the novel. You will feel the waves of the water, experience the burn of lust, and find yourself becoming emotional alongside the characters. It's equal parts sweet and sexy, plus it has just a bit of suspense to make it even more interesting. I really appreciated how much attention Brittney Sahin gave to the small details, I could picture every setting and really felt the impact that Grace's family choices had on her. I too felt deceived by their ability to drag her down and was overjoyed when her friends and Noah helped her realize she didn't need to be a puppet. I questioned every character's motives, it made me think about why we put ourselves into boxes, and it absolutely made me believe that love is worth risking it all. Ultimately, the novel centers around Grace and Noah accepting that life isn't what you expect it to be like and that there is more to gain from seeking happiness than anything else.
"He's smart enough to know he's playing with fire, and I'm the flame. I don't want to burn him though."
Someone Like You is different than Brittney's previous romantic suspense releases, but it shines as a contemporary romance. I was so wrapped up in the novel, in fact I will admit I have already read it twice. There were times I thought that the book could never possibly go my way, but the weaving story lines all work together to finally give the perfect outcome. Brittney Sahin's writing has only improved with each novel and Someone Like You is absolutely her best book yet. Longtime fans and contemporary romance lovers will be enchanted by this new release. show less

Action packed and just the right amount of sweet, smutty romance, Finding Justice is Brittney Sahin's latest release in the romantic suspense genre. Both a standalone and the second novel in the Stealth Ops series, Finding Justice gives us the story of Owen York, a Navy SEAL special operative with a repressed desire for revenge. On the ten year anniversary of his brother's passing he'd like to be finding the killer, not sunning on the beach, but show more boss' orders put him there and when the stunning Sam bumps into him he finds himself thankful for the break. Sam is holding back a secret from him, knowing she can't feel more for him, but when she's thrust into the center of a government cover-up she has to rely on him and his team for protection. She knows she's safe with him, but she doesn't expect her heart to find safety with him as well. Tied together on a dangerous mission Owen and Sam fight for answers and fight to keep their hearts protected.
"'You don't have to be nice to me,' she cried.
'Yeah, well, I can be mad at you tomorrow.'"
I loved the first Stealth Ops book and I loved Finding Justice just as much, if not more. While I admit I'm really excited for Asher and Knox's stories, two other special ops members, I found myself really enjoying Owen and Sam's story. I hadn't really felt like I'd known them from the first novel, so they felt new. Sam is incredibly smart, driven, and really believes in making a difference in the world. Owen, while he's got a giant chip on his shoulder, is like the quiet brother of the team, not one for wild behavior, but Sam brings it out in him. This book was like watching them get to know themselves and get to know each other, each having lived in the past for the prior ten years. They have a lot in common and as they work together on an op they find that the things they share in common could only be understood by one another, it's the thing that ties them together in both a positive and negative way. As they overcome danger and work to uncover the past they find themselves in love and what a beautiful love it is.
"He bent his head and kissed her, stealing the truth from her lips, allowing the lie to live."
Every single book from Brittney Sahin is better than the next and I'm not just saying that. She's taken a team of special ops agents, created an action packed world, and somehow she manages to make every story incredibly unique. It's more than bad guys, handsome heroes, and beautiful women who need saving. The girls are strong in their own right, often fitting into the men's world perfectly and bringing their brains to the table too. The men, though handsome and strong, each have deep seated issues that they work through in their individual books. The team is like family, with the secondary characters playing important roles in each novel rather than just supporting from the background. The characters and their stories are complex, and while not relatable, are incredibly realistic and entertaining. It's easy to get swept away by the action, drama, and romance.
If you like your romantic suspense filled with military men and women, fast-paced action, government secrets, and swoon worthy love, Brittney Sahin's Stealth Ops series is for you.
