About the Author

Pat Booth was believed to be born on April 24, 1943. She left school at the age of 15 and supported herself by working in a department store and as a waitress. She became a model in the 1960s. She appeared on the covers of Vogue and Harpers & Queen, posed for such photographers as Norman Parkinson show more and David Bailey, and she opened two boutiques in Chelsea. In the 1970s, she became a photographer herself and took pictures of David Bowie, Bianca Jagger, Queen Elizabeth II and the Queen Mother. Some of her photographs have been displayed in the National Portrait Gallery. Her photographs have appeared in The Sunday Times and Cosmopolitan. She published a book entitled Master Photographers. In the 1980s, she became a romance author. Her works include The Lady and the Champ, Palm Beach, Beverly Hills, The Sisters, and Malibu. She died of lung cancer on May 11, 2009 at the age of 66.
