This book has been written in a style such that each double page spread may be read consecutively or, by dipping into the book at a preferred spread. It is lavishly illustrated with many excellent coloured photographs and is a worthwhile read.
The one niggle that I have is that, perhaps because of the decision to order the book as mentioned above, stories tend to be repeated. This is, however, a minor blemish in a tome that deals, both seriously and yet also in a most approachable manner, show more with Britain's gift to the world of the theatre - Pantomime. show less
