A very realistic book about a child who's dad drinks too much. It shows the problems he causes at home and her struggle finding someone to talk to. Her father decides to stop drinking and everything's better...until he gets drunk again. She talks about her feeling to the school counselor and even though her dad had slipped he kept on trying. In the end they knew there was still a lot of hard work ahead of them to mend their family, but everyone was healing.
Alex's father has depression. Alex has so many questions about what this means. Can he catch it? Can he help his father? Is his father just lazy? This book is so helpful for children that have parents suffering with depression. This book helps them understand more what depression is.
