This book is basically an activity book for children who are experiencing the death of a loved one. There are few words, and the children are encouraged to draw their own pictures and express their feelings. I thought this was an incredibly creative way to approach the topic of death with children, as it focuses on the way that they feel and the things they remember about the person instead of an imaginary characters feelings and memories. I also liked that the children can draw their own show more pictures as that is an incredibly helpful way for kids to express their emotions and feelings.

This book teaches children about how they can deal with the lose of a loved one. It is an activity book that the children can work through to see how their emotions are normals and shouldn't;t be repressed. In this book it has a plot with how in the beginning you feel a loss but by the end you realize all the good times you had with this person and you focus on the good rather than the bad.

Describes divorce with childlike sketches. Makes the subject visual and helps children to begin to understand something far to complex for they count of time they have been on earth. Divorce is confusing and hard; children shouldn't have to deal with it, but unfortunately many must cope.
