Take Time for Your Life: A Personal Coach's 7-Step Program for Creating the Life You Want by Cheryl Richardson
Take Time for your Life is a book based on a program to help you turn your life around and allow you to live the way you desire. This program is by no means a quick and easy process, and it does take some time simply to read through the book before you do the program (which is what the author wants you to do).
I do find the guidance she gives very helpful for changing one's life-for example, shedding a job that no longer makes you happy, creating relationships that make life worthwhile and so show more on. I feel as though too many people go through life without these basic necessities that give purpose and meaning to how we live.
I do suggest this book for anyone looking to change their lives, but keep in mind it is a lengthy (in my opinion) process. There are checklists and other information that make this helpful, but could also make you depressed (as you think to youself "Oh ****, there's yet ANOTHER thing I have to do that I haven't done"...or it could be just the kick in the pants that you need-who knows).
Worth a try if you are not happy with the way your life is. show less

Take Time for Your Life : A Seven-Step Programme for Creating the Life You Want by Cheryl Richardson
Interesting book on how to change your life so you enjoy it, asks some very interesting questions about why people put up with rubbish in their lives and is all abou self-empowering without being selfish.
As usual with all self-help books a pinch of salt is advised.

This is one of the few books I'd probably give a 3.5 star to but plan to read again. The reason...it is just simple and fast but it is something a person needs to be reminded of. The info is basic and standard so it may not be revolutionary but I like it because it is short. You can read/skim it quickly and remind yourself of all the things you should be doing to keep life in balance.
I hope to pick it up about 2 times a year and adjust my life again :)

This instructional book can be read straight through, but then the author recommends that you take one chapter at a time (not necessarily in the order they appear in the book) and try to apply its principles to your own life for a month. It demonstrates with examples, some drawn for the author's own life and some from her students and correspondents, how by appearing to put the interests of other people first we can in fact damage them by taking away their responsibilities and self-reliance. show more Well and interestingly written, though one or two of the American references might have been explained for English readers. show less
