Mythology for the rest of us!
The publisher's blurb covers the basic segments so there's no need to recap that. What's different here is the presentation. Most of us have had exposure to bits and pieces, or maybe even a few boring dissertations, but here is a presentation that can be easily absorbed and enjoyed. I think that the comic book generation needs to learn that the heroes and villains they know have been around for millennia, not just a century.
This is a charming little book of African folklore stories. I found it amazing how alike some of the stories are to Aesop, Celtic stories, and other fairytales. There was one that was very close to Jack-and-the-Beanstalk.
Tales from the viking age, captivating legendary and historical sagas by Matt Clayton
Enjoyed some of the legends and stories and some I found to be a bit confusing. So one man has 12 sons and they each have 12 sons and the names are the same in some cases and the story is only about one of them.
Loved the Vinland saga as it talks of the Norse and island up north and adventuring into Canada and things they find there.
Other works are highlighted at the end and offer of free books.
A good summary of Scottish history. It offers a brief summary of people and events that influenced the country. Nice and simple and researched well.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
