A nearly wordless collection of how-to instructive drawings. Culled from hundreds of instruction manuals, possibly from the 50's on, this book can show you how to thread a needle, do the tango, and fly a kite. Should be buried in every time capsule to show people thousands of years from now what we were REALLY like.
Not a bad collection of tips, but some of them are awfully outdated. But there's something in it for evryone, I guess.

Fun, light reading. Nothing to get too excited about (i.e. don't feel you have to track down the last remaining copy from Abe.com). There wasn't a ton of additional information re artists etc. Mostly it divided books into themes (e.g. "the Nurse/Doctor romance") and showed some covers. If you browsed the romance section of a used bookstore you would essentially have covered the same ground, and then some.

(Note: 5 stars = amazing, wonderful, 4 = very good book, 3 = decent read, 2 = show more disappointing, 1 = awful, just awful. I'm fairly good at picking for myself so end up with a lot of 4s). I feel a lot of readers automatically render any book they enjoy 5, but I grade on a curve! show less
A very quick "read."
A how-to book of everything you need to know, key word "need," like parallel and angled parking and rinsing lettuce. An illustrated book of common sense for those who do not have any.
