Good god, I devoured this book! The verbal foreplay is sexy hot and exciting, the animosity is exhilarating and the outcome is delicious. Ms. Michaels had me captivated from the very first page to the last.

What? A caveman? Me? It couldn't be farther from the truth. I was a gentleman through and through.

To put it crudely, Lawrence Barbara is a walking hard on. His obsession with Minerva is OTT and a bit creepy at times. He's a man used to getting his own way due to his good looks, money, and show more his incredible charisma. However, the aggravating and stubborn Minerva is immune to his charms, tries to avoid him like the plague and ignores him at every step. Watching this arrogant and controlling man slowly lose control over a woman who irritates the hell out of him is a fabulous read. But when he finally persuades her to come to the dark side, it's oh, so satisfying.

That troglodyte mentality of his was both insulting and irritating, and it had to stop.

Minerva Duncan hates men and her new boss is the epitome of what she despises most. He's rude, bossy, and he intimidates her. But his dirty talk and indecent proposals seduce her into giving away her virginity and her common sense. I admire Minerva's hard work and acumen for becoming a sought after architect. She tries so hard to keep her head straight and her heart protected from a hustler, an opportunist, and a scoundrel, but his persistence and sometimes even uncharacteristically kind gestures draw her in.

There are so many funny scenes and character quirks in this book. Lawrence's first impression of Minerva is of an ugly and creepy sprite who smells like peppermint and he loves sniffing her hair. Minerva's devil names for Lawrence are hilarious.

May I add that I love Minerva's friend Ashley and Lawrence's friend Ryan as they tease and poke the bears while sitting back eating popcorn and watching the fireworks.

Ms. Michaels has an entertaining and seductive way with words. I can't count the number of times I laughed out loud at Lawrence's frustrations as Minerva thwarted him at every step. The sexual tension is written so well you can touch it.

This book is filled with laughter, sexual tension, and an alpha hole who meets his match. Ms. Michaels is my new go-to author.

Thank you to Ms. Michaels for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.
