Gédéon Tallemant des Reaux (1619–1692)

Gédéon Tallemant, Sieur des Réaux, married his cousin Elisabeth de Rambouillet; his half-brother had married a d'Angennes, and these connection secured for Tallemant an introduction to the famous Parisian salon of Madame de Rambouillet. She told Tallemant des Réaux many stories of the reigns of Henri IV and Louis XIII. His Historiettes are invaluable for the literary history of the time.
