While sometimes the humour (and swearing) came across as being just for the sake of it, overall it was an entertaining side swipe at the whole superhero universe. The actors were having way too much fun and the whole story entertained me.
Not my favourite superhero but it was good fun.

I must admit that in 1989 I was in college (I remember playing that tetris with the iconic music in that year) and between that and the soundtrack I was caught in the nostalgia as well as enjoying the film. Yes there are holes and honestly some of it was well over the top but as a spy romp it worked for me.
Well made, great cast, well acted. Unbelievable script. When the bad guy finally catches Wick, he decides to talk to him rather than kill him. Despite the fact that Wick has already murdered about 10,000 of his henchman--only a small exaggeration. Could have been so much better. Reeves is very good, however. Watchable as always.
Reluctant partners try to keep a MacGuffin away from a high-tech secret society.
3/4 (Good).
Some of the comedy scenes are great. The action scenes tend to drag on. I still don't understand why any of these movies are longer than 90 minutes.
