WHAT A THRILLING NOVEL! I could hardly read fast enough! I loved Calandra Menankara's curious mind and her devious ways to get her way as she suffered with brittle bones and it kept her stuck being an astronomer instead of traveling to foreign planets, but discovering a probe from a place called Earth, she played all of her cards right to go to Earth! I found Xxtta, a master pilot to be a tad too boyish, but he had a good heart and he stuck to his best friend's side when he was charged with show more the deaths of his crew when it was the fault of big corporations and he was blamed. It was a little weird when Calandra and Xxttra went to the city in search of who sent the probe and ended up at a tailgate football party that they never understood, but then they had to fight for their lives as Earth people wanted them all dead! Alien People is filled with twists and turns with nonstop action and bitterness from the crew. show less
I was taken by surprise as I started reading this book as it just grabbed me and threw me into the story quick. I read this book in a little over two days and stayed up to the wee hours of this morning finishing it.
Ron Olson along with his mother and brother move to the small town of Deer Falls to start a new life. Ron tries to adjust to the new school as he makes friends and ends up making some enemies in the short time since he arrived. Ron and his new friends come up against something show more that turns their world upside down as an evil witch is let loose from a chest that was buried in the ground.
When the town residents start dying and disappearing, Ron and his friends decide to investigate the circumstances of what is causing the deaths of the town and what they find is far more than they ever expected.
This was a fast paced book and I was hooked from the first chapter. I loved all the characters and I loved how the story just wrapped itself around me.
This was a debut book by author, John Coon, and I will be adding him to my list of horror authors. Five stars for this one. show less

Pandora Reborn preaches a message of empathy awareness to its reader. Our teenage years are categorized as a self-absorbed era. I think there’s truth to that, at least in my experience. It results in a tunnel vision that causes teens to misread actions, disregard others’ feeling and experiences, and not see danger when it is lurking right behind them.
