Note of warning. If you pull this book out in public spaces, such as bus stops or pull it out of your bag to gain access to something else, you are going to start a conversation. One guy thought the title was connected with someone who discussed the end of the world. SMH (shake my head).
I had read the cartoon off and on but this is the first time I have read a majority of the cartoons. It was a bit frustrating because I felt that I was jumping in to a story line that I should have known show more about. I got frustrated but some of the subjects discussed in the book, ex: traffic amused me. Then "Thistle" came into the picture. Thistle's appearance begin to give information on the history of the staff and the cyclery itself. Her story line helped me enjoy the book to the end. I do not recommend that you go to page 45 read it to the end, then restart reading it from page 5. It might turn to be a even more madding experience than reading it straight through. I noticed that their are other collections of the comics in book form. I hope I can read them without having another "huh?" moment. show less
