I loved Kate, but not so much Sam as he really took Kate for granted and only decides that he likes her as more than a friend and fellow single parent after a miss understanding of a proposal via plane signage which results in her finally deciding to take the step outside her comfort zone and go out with another guy. There were so many times I wanted to shake Sam and tell him to man up and good lord he really needs to think before he speaks as boy does his mouth get him in some trouble, I show more also have to commend Kate for her tolerance of Sam while he fumbles with trying romance and letting her know how he feels. Fortunately they both have friends and family her love them and at times need to meddle a smidge so that Kate and Sam can really give it a go and see if there is for them than just friendship.

Solid 4.5 star
I have read a couple of the Three Creeks books but this was the best, you had a great mix of nostalgia, awkward family dynamics, dealing with how perception is different for everyone and how people you leave behind move on even if they still love you. I just loved Brock and Katie as they were older and more mature than when Brock left and the emotions they go through as well as the situations they put themselves in take you on a ride of highs and lows but you have some great show more friends of theirs that will have you laughing at times along with Brock and Katie. When you get to the end of the book I guarantee you will have a satisfying smile on your face as well as have warm fuzzies! show less

I enjoyed the story, but I felt like there was just something off about it. I think it has to do with the pacing, or some parts seemed a bit confusing. There was just a weird flow to the story. However, I did enjoy the relationship between the characters. The way they had a past that they also had to make sense of was interesting. They have known each other for a long time, it just made sense that they would get together at some point. They seemed natural for each other, like I couldn't even show more imagine them with anyone else. It was a perfect match.
I liked how throughout the story you really felt the Fall theme. It was done really well. I like the cozy atmosphere a lot in stories, so I was really thankful for that.
I would have given this a higher star rating if that one issue with the pacing, or whatever it is, hadn't of been there. That is the only thing and it threw off the whole book for me. I am actually a bit disappointed by it because there were a lot of good elements to the story.
I really do think a lot of people would enjoy this though. It was a sweet story with all the Fall vibes. I haven't read any of the other books in this series, but this one can stand on it's own. I am interested in more from the series because the town was cute.

After literally fleeing her home town so she doesn't have to deal with her family along with the town judging her Faith lands in Paradise Hills where she makes some good friends and finally feels like she can move on but yeah nah turns out Clark her ex fiance is in town now. What I loved the most about this book was how Faith was, I totally get her digging in her heals about letting Clark into her life. There are some good tense times where you feel it might not pan out for them, some laughs show more at both Clark and Faiths family secrets that occurred after Faith and Clark's break up and at times the want to slap your forehead with the type of help Faiths new friends try to give her. I can not wait to read more in this fun series about great people living in a great town and love can be just around the corner for any of them! ❤ show less
