I enjoy the author’s books especially this series Rosemary Run. This book really hit me since it deals with mental health. One of the main characters, Eve Blackburn, suffers from bipolar and it is a horrible mental health disease to deal with. The author tells of her issues as she wove it in the story. The story was of Eve and her husband missing and then her husband turns up dead but still no sign of Eve. The family is doing all they can to find her while dealing with knowing she may be show more having a mental breakdown. I give the author kudos for describing the problem people have to deal with when it comes to mental illness. It doesn’t just affect the person, but the entire family. Very well written. show less
This is the last book in the A Hideaway Island series. I really like how the author tied everything up in this last book. It’s about Annie Langley, the mother of three who we have met through the other books. She decided to move to Florida and start her life over again. She ends up meeting with Rags and he helps bring her back together with her family and along the way stop a murder from happening. There is a lot going on during the story but the author did bring everything together. show more You’ll learn more about the different relationships and why things happened that we didn’t understand. I just found it funny with all the unusual names the author gave everyone. It was a good book and I would recommend you read the others prior to this one. show less
This is the 3rd book in the Appleman’s Gap series and each book just makes the story better and better. When I get to the end, I’m disappointed that I have to wait for the next book. You can read these books individually but reading them in order I think makes them much better. In this book, Laurel Dane, our FBI agent, is pregnant and getting ready to marry and move to Appleman’s Gap with her fiance Brad Tate. She’s looking forward to moving back to her hometown and then finds out show more another child has been kidnapped. This time it’s the senator’s son. So she and her team go to Appleman’s Gap to assist in the latest kidnapping. While there, there are several other stories, a very bad tornado and a love affair between a married senator and FBI agent, and a quick wedding for Laurel and Brad. The book has twists and turns and is a page turner. The only downside is now I have to wait for the next book to find out what’s next. Love it!!! show less
This was a very moving but sometimes difficult read about mental health. The story of Sierra who appeared to have a great life until her Marine Captain husband, Oscar, returns home after a helicopter crash. The problem is he returns home as a different person. She still loves him but feels like she’s losing him and she doesn’t know how to help him. He doesn’t even know how to help himself. Then the unthinkable happens when Oscar cannot control himself and harms Sierra. The story is show more very good but the truth of mental illness is written in and is hard to read. show less
