A (Great).

When Blondie was at their most popular, they were slick and cool. But this album is theater-kid-dorky and weird and reminds me of Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem (complimentary).

10/14/24: Now playing in my iTunes library. 1978. "Parallel Lines". The 3rd album by Blondie and their commercial breakthrough, making it to #6 on the Billboard charts. Contains their big hit "Heart of Glass". The album is #140 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time
9/26/24: Now playing in my iTunes library. 1980 "Autoamerican" by Blondie. The album spawned 2 hit singles, "The Tide Is High" and "Rapture" (which was the first rap song ever to reach number one on the singles chart in the US). My favorite track is "Call Me", which is a bonus on the CD.
