Enjoyable but some of the issues from the first novel are still a rehash for the main character. Not much in the town is resolved since they spend the majority of the time out of it. Lucas is still a catch and we get some turn about toward the end. I wish the villain had not been so stereotypical, it would be interesting to have a layered villain who sticks around and pops up without being fully evil and a bit cliche.

I adored this little novella. Makes me want to re-read Sundance before the last book in the series Shifted since we got to know Carter and Imogene in this one. I loved the banter with Chandra and Luis and Nelly - but of course Earp too. Heartwarming and fun part of the series.

It sucked me in. The humor was great. There was a truly sad scene that shook me up. Will continue the series, definitely.

Loved the trip to Alpha Juan's place and getting to know Gil and the Gran, and of course more fun time with Amir. New discoveries and more explanations on her power "emotion"
