The Lycan/Vampire vs Hellspawn War wages on. Tasha and Levi are still battling the Master Hellspawn and his minions, whom are ever adapting. Tash and Levi are also evolving during this war. This installment of The Shadow Chronicles was even more action packed and intriguing that Book 1 (Forbidden Wolf). There is a lot of action as there is a major war going on outside the base and inside the base (with Castus). The plot is well-written and does a thorough job with explaining the science they show more are studying to understand the Lycan/Vampire genetics. The characters are well-thought out and put together. My personal favorite, after Tasha and Levi, of course, are Tasha's parents. Her mom has no problem putting her father in his place. The female characters are strong and confident in this book. They will go into battle without a second thought. I did not see that ending come. I'm kind of hoping a further book in the future about them? Hint, hint! Great series. Recommend this! show less
