This was so, so good. It’s hard to find a sci-fi romance that has such strong world and character building, but this does it. The plot existed outside of the romance and I was invested in the stakes. My only complaint is that the book could use a better editor. There were a lot of small mistakes that didn’t detract from the story but could have easily been prevented.

This book was fun and very sci-fi thriller-ish, with action, mystery and romance. I think that the universe created in the book was great, and there is a lot of room to expand on it.

The main characters were interesting, but the hero was maybe a bit too "alien" for my taste. I wish that this book had dual POVs, because it would have given him more depth. (The epilogue was from the hero's perspective, but more would have been better.). I really appreciated how they got to know each other show more before they developed feelings, and I liked how they took one another's feelings into account when decision making. show less
