A mystery, romance, and humor. The author does try to introduce some of the paranormal but it just didn’t feel like it belongs.

Book 2 in the Jolene Jackson series is as funny and outrageous as the first, as I call it 'Perils of Jolene'!! A body goes down Redwater falls and then is rescued from the river. When Detective Rick next runs down Jerry Don and Jolene it is to tell them they are now targets of a killer. Oops! Jolene is once again under house arrest. She isn't going to put up with that . So here we go again ... time to find the killer

A mystery with off-the-wall characters who provide laugh-out-loud entertainment. With unrepentant seniors who say whatever comes to mind and the rekindling of a first love. The action doesn't stop and the prime suspect keeps changing. You will enjoy this fast-moving, easy read

When her 72 year old mother is accused of murdering her boyfriend, Jolene Jackson has no choice buta ato go home to Kickapoo, Texas and try to help. What she finds is a mess of small town politics and intrigue, complicated by the possibility of re-igniting a romance with her high school sweetheart.
I had a hard time getting into the storyline. It took me 50-60 pages to warm up to the characters. I did enjoy the rest of the book although I found the plot a little weak.
