Fickle is a book that's written entirely in the form of blog posts from an anonymous twenty-something year old blogger who goes by the nickname "L.G. Fickle".
The plot starts off with Fickle blogging about witnessing a suicide at the train station. The man who killed himself she dubs Mr. Suicide, and she describes how he jumped onto the tracks of an oncoming train.
As you get deeper into the novel, Fickle reveals that the man's suicide is being investigated by the police who think that it show more was possible that the man was pushed onto the tracks and didn't in fact take his own life. While going through the man's flicker account the police find many pictures of Fickle.. which seems odd to them since Fickle told the police that she didn't know the man.
Things keep getting weirder and weirder as more evidence ties Fickle to Mr. Suicide. Then, people around Fickle start dieing, leaving the reader wondering if Fickle is perhaps the guilty party all along or if someone is stalking her and trying to put the blame of Mr. Suicide's death on her.
Overall, I thought that this book was a decent read. There are lots of plot twists, and the narrator is unreliable, which adds yet another twist.
Parts of this book seemed to drag on a bit, and personally, I thought the ending was a bit confusing. It definitely has a strong plot, and was overall a fun read.. but I do have to say that the ending was a disappointment to me. show less
