I liked this book overall but this was retreading a lot of ground I've already covered over the years. Most of the books referenced here as sources I've already read and still have on my shelves. I did, however, really like the section on 1980s sword & sorcery cinema also having seen all of the referenced movies. I would recommend this book for anyone looking to begin delving into the pulps, specifically the Sword & Sorcery genre, as it provides a very good and sweeping look at the genre and show more its evolution. show less
