Short biography
Addie Johnson (also credited as Addie Johnson Talbott) is an American actor, theatrical producer, scriptwriter, non-fiction author, and qualitative researcher. Deeply integrated into the independent Off-Broadway theater landscape, she operates as a long-serving Artistic Associate for the award-winning theater collective Rising Phoenix Rep, producing more than thirty new plays regionally and off-Broadway. Parallel to her performance career, she has built an extensive track record as a commercial non-fiction writer and editor, authoring a series of popular inspirational gift books focused on mindfulness and emotional resilience, including Lemons to Lemonade (2004), A Little Book of Thank Yous (2005), and Stick-To-It-Iveness (2005). More recently, she transitioned into screenwriting and film production, co-producing the feature-length film Midday Black Midnight Blue and a suite of short films including Birdwatching and Light (which secured Best LGBTQ Film at the Venice Film Awards). She is married to her long-term artistic partner and collaborator, Daniel Talbott.

This is a book best dipped into. There are 333 suggestions for finding happiness in everyday experiences. Most of it is pretty obvious, but as a book that can be set on a bedside table and used as inspiration to be more positive, I think it has value. If nothing else, reading this reminded me that happiness is more a state of mind than a state of body!
