Quite a nice book if you are looking for pictures of koalas. Most of these pictures are of wide awake koalas...which is not the way one normally observes them in the day time. They have quite a few pictures, also, of albino koalas..which are not normal. But I bought the book originally to help me design a sculpture which I proposed casting in bronze. Sadly, I think those days are somewhat behind me so I have now donated to a relative who is doing a PHD in zoology and is really interested in show more koalas. I think he will appreciate it. But a great set of photos include pictures of a koala walking across the ground...and a classic picture of three koalas lined up behind one another. I rate it three stars. show less

This is a cheap, mass-produced, chamber of commerce-type compilation of glossy photographs of Texas. The pictures are pretty. However, as a Texas native, I have to say that rarely has the reality lived up to the beautiful pictures in this book. These pictures are as typical and representative of reality as the Miss Texas entrant in the Miss America Pageant is representative of the average girl.

I enjoyed my visit to the British Isles via this slim volume of photographs. While such a book could never replace an in person visit, armchair travelers will appreciate the collection which depicts many parts of England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and Northern Ireland.

Not much text, but outstanding photography of some of the most memorable places in the State of Washington.
