If I'm being honest I was a little disappointed with this one. I'm not usually one for the single parent trope but I was willing to give it a go because it was going to be a Mafia dark romance. In reality it didn't feel very dark at all and whenever it tried it just felt a bit forced; the same can be said for the Mafia element. I think it had some good moments but it also just had a lot of stuff. It felt overly long in my opinion and things could have been left out and the plot still worked. show more Additionally it was hard not to judge some of Jillian's choices when reading. The story lived up to its title, although I felt it was more, "Mr. Best". The story flowed well, the characters were well created with vast effort and brought the story to full life. I totally enjoyed Mel & Huggies journey on this true love journey. The conflicts presented felt relatable. The heart break, disappointments, joy and love came pouring out in each page read. It was fun to see how Huggies thought no one was aware of his feelings for Mel when it was only Mel that was blinded to it show more all. It was a beautiful read and it kept me captivated to complete the read. Definitely recommend. show less
