After reading the prequel, Eternally Hers I could not wait to read this book. The prequel provided me just enough of a taste of what was to come with this world that the author built that I was ready for it. This book is even better than I could imagine. You could say that January Rayne has made me a "born again vampire lover" with these books.

Alexander and Maven were definitely soulmates. As soon as they were near one another I could feel the strong connection between them. Boy was it a show more HOT connection. I now know what my dreams will be filled with, and they will be great ones. In the beginning, I did have to laugh at Maven and Lex's first introduction to each other.

This book is not all about the sex. There is a really good, strong storyline weaved throughout the pages as well. One that I can't wait to see how it progresses in the next book.

"I don't care about anything other than having her as mine. She wants a protector. And I will do so much more than that. Because I am not the gentleman I was raised to be, but the monster I am meant to be. The beast I was created to be."

I thought Honeysuckles was a ride but this one was more intense. First off I feel so bad for Mickey and how she gets treated in the beginning but I am glad she holds on and gets away. I also feel for Rhett as I'm sure quite a few people are feeling what he is show more with our world nowadays. I'm glad the author didn't take us through the whole experience of him being "changed". Rhett explaining it was enough. I enjoy how Rhett and Mickey's relationship develops. I enjoyed how Rhett shows what each of his "monsters" can do.

"A man nearly broke you but this monster - your monster - will put you back together again."

I am so glad Rhett gets over his little confidence thing and shows Mickey who he is and how it doesn't bother her one bit. The author teases me more with the appearance of the horsemen again. I really can't wait for their books. We also get to visit with some of the characters from her Eternally series which is a great series, too.

The only thing that bugged me was the inconsistency with the house. The way I read it was it started like a two-bedroom shack and by the end it sounded like a mansion that was repaired in just a few days.

Overall I loved this book and series. I hope the next one is just as good if not better.

Ahh, my Fitz or should I say Doe Eyes. I absolutely love this nickname that Holly called Fitz. I could not help but keep calling him Doe Eyes. Fitz is not the only one that has a nickname. Holly is known as Wildflower.

The fact that Holly is the unhinged one had me literally screaming with joy. She is all kinds of perfect. The way that she "stalked" Fitz and claimed him in his sleep is HOT!! Poor Fitz thinking he was dying because of Holly's marks on him. If you asked Rhett and Creed, they show more would have told you that Fitz smelled like last week's old trash.

A couple of my favorite funny moments involved Creed. The moment in Demi's Diner when Creed bites Fitz in the leg. There is also the scene where Creed is using his "Dad" voice with Storm. You and me both Fitz did not expect Creed to go into "Dad" mode so easily, but I love it.

This book is perfection!

I love this series so, so much. I have been waiting for Creed's story. January delivered in a big way. Ooh, Creed, you have my heart. I felt for him so much that my heart did break and was mended back together again.

Creed may be a monster, but I did not fear him. In fact, I was very intrigued by him. The way that he desired Demi was full of angst. Every moment of them together was hotness! My reading speed of this book was fast but also, I was trying to slow down so that I could savor every show more moment. I never wanted this book to end. Creed is the monster romance that will have you calling out his name! show less
