Oh what an amazing book to read!
When your child comes to you asking that glorious question, "Is Santa real?" this is the book to read with them!
I absolutely LOVE this answer. I've been telling this to my son for years! He never really knew the commercial Santa Claus except what he sees on TV. But he always knew of his Spirit and the Spirit of Christmas as well as the reason for the Season -- Celebrating the birth of Jesus.
Well written. Beautiful art work. Based on a true story. And they show more included the actual "Letter to the Editor and response" from the New York "The Sun" from back in the 1800s. show less

The Christmas Story: From the Gospel According to St. Luke from the King James Bible by James Bernardin
The language of this book may be difficult for young readers to understand as it comes directly from the Bible. However, this is very good to use in conjunction with Christmas Bible readings/studies. The illustrations will help supplement what you have been trying to teach.
This story focuses on the power of children. Virginia was able to get the newspaper to answer her questions and inspire a whole town to know the power of Santa Clause. This story also did a good job of showing the importance of doing good for others. Virginia knew that that Santa's volunteer needed a coat because he gave his coat to a man that needed it. Because Virginia gave that man a coat, he went to tell the newspaper to answer her question about Santa. This story also discussed the show more beliefs of Christmas. Virginia wanted to know if Santa was real and the newspaper told her that Santa is real. Santa is real because people do good for other people. show less
A bully told Virginia there was no Santa Claus. Disappointed and seeking the truth, Virginia writes to the paper because if the sun says it's true, it is so. At first the editor throws the letter away because they only print facts. After being fussed at by a good Samaritan, the editor published an editorial explaining Santa and how he's real. Great book to read during the holidays.
