Sorry, I couldn't get into it and couldn't stick with it. Listening to the book on audible may have contributed to my dislike as it is probably easier to adjust the voice in your head when reading to be more positive. The main character is a privilidged snobby prince and the narrator did a good job portraying the character but I didn't find the character or the book interesting or likable. I tried skipping chapters but didn't seem to help. Also had a theme of rebellion I think which is too show more much of a potential reality for our futures in the real world for me to want to hear about.
At least two chapters made up just history of the monarchy and country uninteresting and tedious.
I would appreciate it if someone who has read the book to privately tell me what happened in the book that was worthwhile. It is possible they have the entitled prince overcome his privilidged start, but can't really see it enough to make the character likable.
I almost always listen to fantasy books on audible, this book has made me switch to non-fiction to listen to instead. show less
