Molly owns a gym where Ryker comes to work out. Both are attracted to each other, but Molly keeps her distance. Building problems make Molly begin to communicate with Ryker as he wants to show her other properties for her gym. It is Molly's birthday, and her friends plan a party for her. Ali, her friend, brings a spell book to the party. They decide to read one. They learn that there is more to their town than they expected. What are they to do when the head of a witch's coven approaches show more them? What will Molly do when she learns Ryker is involved with the paranormal community?
I enjoyed this story. It sets up the series well. The world building is good. I liked Molly. I also liked Molly's ability after the spell. I wanted to know everything Molly wanted to know. I hated that everyone involved in the paranormal community would not tell Molly and her friends anything about what was happening to them. I drove me as crazy as it did Molly. When everything comes out, I was surprised. It makes me want to know what happens next.
I look forward the reading the rest of the series. show less

Ren and Ellie’s relationship divides kingdom, civil war. Ellie frets about everything being her fault.
Where the first book was fun, this one starts to get annoying because Ellie is such a whiny biotch. The spice isn’t bad but it’s not good either, I honestly wish it wasn’t there because it doesn’t add anything. Anyway, Ellie runs off to avoid conflict with Lucia’s evil parents. Ends up coming back to when she discovers that Palgia is intending to attack Jasfin. REN defeats Baut show more and Carlin, kingdom is unified when he and Ellie have their mating ceremony. show less
