Our attraction goes on forever.
Nadia Han's The Mastermind has romance, murder, suspense, and so much more. Told from the perspectives of both our main characters Audri and Remington this book is hard to put down until you've finished. Remington and Audri are both haunted by childhood trauma's that impact their interactions with others around them. The two have known each other since they were children, and now they find themselves experiencing emotions they don't know what to do with. Audri show more is drawn to Remington for the very reasons he tries to deny his feelings for her.
Her thoughtfulness and genuine joy shed light on the dark world I found myself in. She was better off in her untainted world, where she could remain a thoughtful, smart, and imaginative woman. My dark world would ruin her.
The two are thrown together when Remington purchases the company that Audri works for. Each one must quickly come to terms with the budding emotions they feel for each other and decide if they should attempt to pursue them. Audri finds herself struggling to understand Remington's words and actions which seem to be at odds with one another. Remington wants only to protect Audri from the darkness in himself. Can the two be more than friends? Are their worlds simply too different?
Han's The Mastermind is a truly great story with romance, mystery, evil plots, suspense, and everything in between. Each character is well written and developed. You can find something to love and hate about almost every single character! Han's story is so well developed that even obvious plot points are amazing and totally acceptable. The book has a low amount of spice and you keep yelling at the book for the two MC's to get together already!!! Everything that happens in this book leaves you feeling satisfied with the outcome because it is the only logical evolution. Everything about this book just works and you should add it to your TBR list immediately.

Wow! This is an intense book! Secrets abound with Remi and Audri. Friends since their youth, they are brought together again when Remi buys the company she works for. All is not quite as it seems with Remi. He has a gut feeling something is not quite right. He feels his stepmother and stepbrother are up to something. Audri has been through a traumatic experience. They both have an immense attraction to each other. The big catch is she is his best friend’s sister. The suspense and drama show more unfolds as the try to see where the relationship goes. I fell in love with this book because from the beginning the author engaged me in the story. It kicked right into the action. Remi started right off. I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. I had to see what happened next. The characters were great. I do wish their friends had a little more supportive role in the story. The plot, being kind of a mafia tough, was terrific because their were a few twists that you just didn’t see coming. I also liked the fact that Audri is also strong enough to take care of herself to, not always being so needy. It’s a terrific romance that I’d recommend. show less
This is a beautifully illustrated self-help book and journal. Most people are walking around with a gaping hole in their heart. We try to hide the pain, put a band-aid on it, but rarely do we do the inner work to heal our pain. Unfortunately, no one can do this for you. It is a journey you make on your own. I encourage everyone who needs healing to get this book and read through it. Do the work even if it seems silly at first.
This is a beautiful journal! I love the prompts and affirmations, as well as the illustrations. I like how everything varies from page to page and gets you to reflect and engage. The journal is very interactive and is sure to keep you focused on the prompt. I haven't used a lot of self-help journals, but I'm glad to have this one on hand!
