These mysterious rays, a non-technical discussion of the uses of X rays and radium, chiefly in medicine by Alan Hart
Early roentgenology pop-sci treatise on the use of x-rays and radium in medicine. Dr. Alan L. Hart (1890-1962) was one of the first physicians to document the means by which tuberculosis spread through the body and pioneered the use of x-ray photography as a means of early TB detection, saving thousands of lives as a result. Dr. Hart was also one of the first American transgender men to undergo gender-affirming surgery.
