Kett moves back to his home city, Norwich from London, with 3 young children after his wife goes missing. Before he can settle in he asked to help out local police on a missing schoolgirl case. Interesting characters and real locations add interest to a plot which moves along satisfyingly.

A fast paced and well narrated book but in all honesty I'm fed up of the recurring PigMan plot and just wish the team could move on with other cases and leave this all behind.

2.5 rounded up to 3 stars. The humor was mostly a miss for me, and I definitely didn’t need every play by play of his kids. I didn’t find their antics adorable, just sort of tedious. But, I was entertained enough, and I’m willing to give the series another shot.

I gave it two books, but it isn't for me. I don't like the protagonist, I don't like the kids, I don't like the humor, and I was definitely unimpressed with the mystery. It actually felt a little bit cringe. However, these are largely personal preferences, so I'm giving it two rather than a single star. I won't be continuing with the series though.
