Full of awesome 19th century prose, obscure facts on witchcraft and heresy, citations to even more obscure ancient tomes, footnotes in Latin, and with an inspiring theme on the power of unfettered thought, this book is all around fascinating. As a bonus: Nietzsche owned a copy, and his marginal notes can be viewed online on the website of the Duchess Anna Amalia Library.
