Although this book is interesting, even fascinating at the times, I don't think it's very useful for its intended purpose. If you have to assemble a list of traits ("one from Column A, two from Column B...") and put them together to make characters, you're probably not going to have very good results. The best way to learn to write fiction well is to read good fiction, and to become a keen observer of human behavior.
This book is full of fascinating psychological facts and ideas. I don't know about using it the way it instructs, but browsing the personality details while brainstorming a new character is very useful.
