A beautiful and detailed illustrated depiction of the objects of life in the Middle Ages with contextual information. A very useful accompaniment to any study of the Middle Ages, especially for a Book of Centuries.
This book is about the first civilizations and their part in creating the common things we use today. It covers the all the way from 4,000,000 years ago with Homo sapiens to 2,400 years ago with the Greeks. The book also gives context and history of each era and what they used the tools for. The indented audience seem to be older kiddos because of the amount of word and vocabulary. This book will address some precursors to world history and can provide students with information beyond the show more lesson about the first civilizations. This book will be a good addition to my library because it will allow students to go beyond instruction and learn more about history. show less
